With a dedicated meditation practice of over 20 years now, Shelley Urlando creates and facilitates uniquely inspired programs in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Shelley is the founder of Mindful Life Resources and Consulting. She offers individual and group sessions to support mindfulness and meditation applications for personal development as well as education, healthcare, and corporate environments.

Shelley is an instructor at the University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies, in the Foundations of Applied Mindfulness and Meditation Program since 2013.

She is the International Co-Trainer of Transformative Mindfulness Methods and received her first training and certification with the developer of these methods, Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw, in 2005. She has been actively practicing and sharing these methods since she was introduced to them in 2003.

Shelley is a Co-Founder of Mindfulness Halton/Peel Professional Community, a non-profit organization that offers a platform for sharing information about professional development, retreats, and other related mindfulness-based workshops and events since 2012.

She is the Program Coordinator for The Centre For Compassion & Wisdom and is responsible for bringing Universal Education Programs to the community. She has been a board member for four years and a member of the community since 2006.

She is a 16 Guidelines Accredited Facilitator, a globally-offered program that is recognized by the Foundation For Developing Compassion and Wisdom, London, United Kingdom.
