Mindfulness Halton/Peel is a chapter of Mindfulness Ontario co-founded by Shelley Urlando and Angie Kingma.  We are a secular community of professionals/practitioners who are dedicated to the principles and practice of mindfulness in all sectors of society.  Mindfulness Halton/Peel had its inaugural meeting in November 2013, with Dr. Lee Freedman, co-founder of Mindfulness Toronto, being our very first guest speaker. Since then, we have met on a bi-monthly basis, with guest speakers on a variety of mindfulness-related topics.  The founding organization of Mindfulness Halton/Peel is Mindfulness Toronto which began in March 2009.  The purpose and mission of our group is to bring together like-minded professionals to practice mindfulness, support each other’s mindfulness practices, discuss topics related to mindfulness, share relevant resources and socialize/network.
